Hi, I work as a family development worker for Mission Australia and have a 15 year old client that is a passionate fantasy writer. He is autistic which has meant that his opportunities to meet similary minded creative people have been limited and I’m determined to support him to break through these boundaries so he can embrace his individuality and ultimately have a more rewarding life. This search has been frustrating to say the least as even Autism QLD cannot offer appropriate support. He has said that he would be open to the possibility of meeting with other writers so he can continue to evolve his craft and I believe that he has a lot to offer. He already writes on his own website and is involved with an online forum. Any help appreciated.

I’m sure your client would find likeminded and passionate fantasy writers in Vision. The main Vision activities happen in the writer’s email group, rather than the website. Your best option is to apply to join the group (the link is in the sidebar to this webpage, under ‘Want to join VISION?’ – Kathleen, our chairperson, manages access to the group.
